Is there an area in the Library where food is allowed?

Yes! Food and covered beverages are generally allowed in the library with the a few conditions and exceptions. Please see the library's full food and drink policy for more detailed information.  

A few general guidelines to keep in mind are highlighted below: 

1. Covered beverages only please. Nothing without a lid of some kind. 
2. Only bring already prepared food that is non-messy and free of strong odors.
3. Food preparation and deliveries are not allowed.
4. Food is not allowed in quiet areas of the library. 

If you need to find some food while in the library, vending machines are located in the south stairwell on the 3rd floor of the library. The Library Cafe also offers food.
