How can I determine what is fair use and what is not?
The law grants a “fair use” privilege to use copyrighted works without permission. Fair use analysis requires consideration of four factors: (1) the purpose and character of the use, (2) the nature of the copyrighted work, (3) amount of the work taken, and (4) the effect on the market of a copyrighted work.
