For Items Currently On the Shelf

  1. Visit the library website and login
  2. Find your item using the home page search bar
  3. Click "Request Item"
  4. Click "Submit Request"
  • You will receive an email when the item is available
  • Holds are typically ready for you in about 24 hours
  • Pick up at the General Help Desk on Level 3 (Faculty, staff, and admin items are delivered to department offices)
  • You will have 1 week to pick up your available hold, after which it will be returned to the shelves

For Items Currently Checked Out

Follow the same steps as above.

  • You will receive an email when the item is available
  • Pick up at the General Help Desk on Level 3 (Faculty, staff, and admin requests are delivered to department offices)
  • It could be as long as 3 weeks before the item is available
  • If we cannot fill your request quickly, we will email a link to request the item through Interlibrary Loan

Cancel a Request

If you no longer need something you've requested, go to the My Account requests page and click "Cancel" next to the item.
