Holds
Request library items for pickup or (for Faculty, staff, and admin) delivered directly to your office
For Items Currently On the Shelf
- Visit the library website and login
- Find your item using the home page search bar
- Click "Request Item"
- Click "Submit Request"
- You will receive an email when the item is available
- Holds are typically ready for you in about 24 hours
- Pick up at the General Help Desk on Level 3 (Faculty, staff, and admin items are delivered to department offices)
- You will have 1 week to pick up your available hold, after which it will be returned to the shelves
For Items Currently Checked Out
Follow the same steps as above.
- You will receive an email when the item is available
- Pick up at the General Help Desk on Level 3 (Faculty, staff, and admin requests are delivered to department offices)
- It could be as long as 3 weeks before the item is available
- If we cannot fill your request quickly, we will email a link to request the item through Interlibrary Loan
Cancel a Request
If you no longer need something you've requested, go to the My Account requests page and click "Cancel" next to the item.
