How do I access databases and journals from off-campus?

Access through the Library website

Login with your NETID and password for off-campus access.

 

If you would like to access a specific database, such as JSTOR, search for it through this box.

If you would like to access a specific journal, use this box to see where we have online access.

If you have the citation information for a specific article, you can enter it on this page to be taken directly to the article through the library’s subscriptions.

You can also access databases and journals from off-campus by logging in through the links on subject guides. note: Subject Guides are a good way to discover which journals are good for searching in a particular subject or topic.

Sign in through the library website to be able to directly link into articles from off-campus.

We do not always have direct access, so if access is unavailable choose the "Check BYU" link to see if we have access through another source.

You may also change your personal Google Scholar preferences to display the link to check if the library has access by following the instructions below:

Click the three lines in the top left corner. Click Settings, then click Library Links. Check the box next to Brigham Young University - GET IT! @ BYU and save. You will then see the “Check BYU” link below article citations.  Please note that if you use this method you will not be able to direct link into articles from off-campus. You will need to always use the "Check BYU" link to see if we have access.
