About the Collection

The British Scout Association and the Brigham Young University L. Tom Perry Special Collections have, as part of an international collaborative project, digitized the Lord Baden Powell papers held at the British Scout Association at Gilwell park near London, England. Historical materials in the Powell papers include correspondence, scrapbooks, photographs, maps and printed ephemera and document all aspects of Powell’s life, including his service in the British Army during the Boer War and his work to establish the international scouting movement.
