About the Collection

Leslie Norris (1921–2006) was a Welsh poet and short story writer who also became an American Western writer. After teaching for many years in the United Kingdom, Leslie Norris came to BYU in 1983, liked it, stayed and taught in the English Department for 20 years, becoming the official Poet-in-Residence at BYU. He lived in Provo with his wife Kitty, until his passing in 2006.
