July 2008 Meeting

June 20, 2008

There are so many uncharted waters when it comes to social networking and community websites and copyright issues. Recent lawsuits filed against YouTube (see: http://news.zdnet.com/2100-9588_22-6095736.html ; http://nymag.com/news/media/30021/ ) show that copyright issues and public community sites is a big deal. This is an important issue for everyone to understand and so for our next Technology Learning Community on July 11th at 2:00 pm in room 2233 Carl Johnson from the copyright office is going to present to us some research he has previously presented at a national conference on internet copyright issues. This will be a fascinating presentation and a great opportunity to ask an expert questions so please join us for this very important discussion.
