Electronic Course Reserve

Course Reserve

Faculty members are strongly encouraged to make their course reserve materials available electronically through Blackboard. However, the Salt Lake Center library does have a course reserve area. To place books or media on reserve, please speak with the Library Attendants or Librarian.

I. Electronic Reserve

The Library will provide electronic access to non-monographic materials. Electronic reserve allows multiple students use of the same material simultaneously, and enables remote access to the materials. Items well-suited to electronic access include:

  • journal articles
  • single chapters from books
  • short stories
  • essays/poem
  • class syllabi
  • practice exams or quizzes

II. Placing Items on Reserve

  1. Contact Amy or call (801) 422-2947 to register as a new user.
  2. Supply bibliographic citation information on the Docuteck ERes website.
  3. Link all course reserves to Blackboard.

III. Deadlines

To ensure that your material is available to students in a timely manner, please submit all electronic reserve items by these dates.
