Library Instruction
- Library Instruction is a required component of First-Year and Advanced Writing classes at BYU. These classes include ENGL 150 and ENGL 314-316. Instruction is designed to teach students how to use library tools to perform college level research. Classes are offered each semester at the BYU Salt Lake Center Library
- Subject specific research instruction (e.g. BIO 100 or MCOM 320) is also offered.
- Students should complete the SMART tutorial prior to attending library instruction. Associated assignments can be found under the Library Research Skills course on blackboard.
- Faculty members should contact the librarian early in the semester to schedule their instruction class(es).
