L. Welsh Herbarium collection of ScholarsArchive is an accumulation of plant specimen images. The plant specimens have been gathered from around the world, particularly from Utah and the Western United States. Each specimen image is accompanied by the name of the species, the date of the collection, and the species’ location.

Nearly six hundred new images have just been added to the Herbarium collection. Take a look!

The purpose of the bibliography is to provide readers with a compilation of, “academic scholarship completed to date about issues relating to Mormons and the media.”  Dr. Baker and her co-author hope, “the bibliography will increase awareness of and encourage the production of relevant research and perhaps, in time, contribute to a more substantive discourse on the role of media in a number of Latter-day Saint forums from classroom to family.”

Adam Robertson wrote a thesis titled,  Multi-Baseline Interferometric Sar for Iterative Height Estimation as part of his studies in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering.  Daniel Reeves addresses distribution, position and manifestations of social capital in his thesis, Adventist and Mormon Congregations in Czechia.

Tom Perry Special Collections in the Lee Library houses many gems. One of our emeritus librarians, Gary Gillum, has taken a keen interest in one type of gem; books printed in England before 1700.

After many years of compilation, Gary Gillum has created an annotated bibliography of the books housed in Special Collections which were printed in England before 1700.  We’re pleased that his bibliography, A Pilgrimage Through English History and Culture, is now available in ScholarsArchive. Search for the keyword Gillum or pilgrimage and start discovering some of the gems in Special Collections!
