Addition to Mormon Media Studies
October 28, 2009
Dr. Sherry Baker, Department of Communications, oversees the Mormon Media Studies collection. She has recently added a bibliography to the collection titled, “Mormons and the Media 1898-2003: A Selected, Annotated, and Indexed Bibliography (with Suggestions for Future Research).”
The purpose of the bibliography is to provide readers with a compilation of, “academic scholarship completed to date about issues relating to Mormons and the media.” Dr. Baker and her co-author hope, “the bibliography will increase awareness of and encourage the production of relevant research and perhaps, in time, contribute to a more substantive discourse on the role of media in a number of Latter-day Saint forums from classroom to family.”
