Omnibus Lecture Program

The Omnibus Lecture Program includes both “spur of the moment” presentations and well-planned lecture series, offered to the BYU community to promote scholarship, student-faculty discourse and ground-breaking use of library holdings. Lectures can be refined, carefully crafted presentations or “in-progress” presentations where participants contribute to the presenter’s discovery.

Lectures are small, collaborative gatherings that take place typically on Thursdays at 3 pm in the DeLamar Jensen Lecture Room (HBLL 1130) adjacent to the L. Tom Perry Special Collections, unless otherwise noted.

Omnibus Lectures are advertised exclusively by email, via faculty mailings, limited public posting and by word-of-mouth. Would you like to be contacted about upcoming lectures? Click Here

Why the name Omnibus?

The title pays homage to Alistair Cooke and his all-encompassing “Omnibus” television program that aired from 1952 to 1959.
