The Life and Legacy of the King James Bible: Celebrating 400 Years
Much has been written in the scholarly and popular press about the creation of the King James Bible, its origins in earlier translations, the personalities who shaped its text, and the manner of its printing. On the occasion of the 400th anniversary of the Bible’s printing, the L. Tom Perry Special Collections have produced an exhibition of books that influenced the King James Bible and some of the many books that have been influenced by it.
Located on level 1 of the Harold B Lee Library in room 1130, this exhibition features an original copy of the King James Bible as its centerpiece.
The public is invited and admission is free. The exhibition will run from August 2011 through spring of 2012.
An online version of the exhibition is available here.
