- 1929 – 2003
- Chad Flake was the founding curator of the Special Collections Library.
- A. Dean Larsen
- 1930-2002
- Larsen was principally responsible for the acquisition of over three million volumes during his career, adding not only to the general collection, but building a world-class Special Collections as well.
