About the Event
Do you want your scrapbooks to last for generations to come? Join acclaimed preservation consultant Deborah Wender for a lecture on scrapbook preservation. Find out how to practice low-cost preservation techniques at home. This lecture is free and open to the public.
After studying at Centro de bel Libro in Ascona, Switzerland and under Hugo Peller and Edwin Heim, she now serves as a consultant and advisor to institutions concerning the preservation of their collections and teaches on various aspects on conservation and preservation. She worked as a binder and book conservator at a commercial hand bindery in Boston, in private practice, and for the Bostonian Society. She is a member of the AIC, ICON, the ALA, the SAA, the Guild of Book Workers, and the New England Conservation Association. She is the Director of Book Conservation at Northeast Document Conservation Center in Andover, Massachusetts.
