Welcome to the L. Tom Perry Special Collections
Special Collections preserves and makes available rare unique library materials in original and digital forms. The library holds 375,000 rare books and print matter, over 1.2 million photographs and 11,000 unique manuscript and archival collections. The library also offers numerous exhibits, lectures, tours and conferences related to its holdings.
We are located in room 1130 of the Harold B. Lee Library at BYU in Provo, Utah.

Acronym Primer
The world of special collections and manuscripts is inseparably connected to the digital world. To sort out all of the emerging organizations and standards, BYU Special Collections has created an acronym primer that lists pertinent organizations, data format standards, data content standards, controlled vocabularies, and systems.
