Harold B. Lee Library Blog
September 15, 2006
Welcome to the Harold B. Lee Library’s Blog! This blog aims to offer a forum for discussion about the Harold B. Lee Library website and other library services. We encourage you to offer your input and thoughts on anything related to the library either by commenting on any of the posts or by using our feedback form.

At the end of each entry, I believe it would be helpful to leave the link that says “No Comments” or “1 Comment.” However, it would also be helpful to add a link that says “Make a Comment” or “Post a Comment.”
When I saw the “No Comments” or “1 Comment” links I thought all I would be able to do is read the comments that had been made or see a page that said, “No comments have been made on this entry.” Maybe other people are smarter than I am, but I suspect there are at least some who may be put off the same way I was. I finally did actually click on a “No Comment” link and found that I could post a comment.
I actually just wanted to say that I like the library’s new blog page. I think that it’s a great, efficient idea for letting the students know what’s “New with Lee”.
I sent an email to your Library email address last week, making a request for some material from your Special Collections area. I have not received a response and wondered whether you might forward this email on to someone in your Special Collections Department. I am trying to determine the possibility of purchasing copies of some of my ancestor’s letters, which you have in your collection, for my 84-year-old father, as a Christmas gift.
I will appreciate any assistance you can provide in getting my in touch with the proper individual(s). Thanks and have a great day.

We’re doing a disservice to our patrons to have entries on this page where no recent acquistions have been posted in from 1 to 3+ years on a number of these pages. There ought to be some time frame established for entries to be on this page such as, “If the most recent posting of recent titles acquired is more than one semester old, the page will be removed.”
Having such old entries on so many pages makes the Library look bad.
I have BYU Collage templates for wordpress. Contact me if you are interested.
