Homework Helper–Finding Books

Finding books in the library can be overwhelming, especially when you do not know where to start. Here are a few tips about how to find books in the juvenile area:

1. Open the HBLL homepage.
2. Select “Library Catalog” under Unique Collections at BYU
3. Below the main search bar choose “Advanced Keyword Search”
4. Once in the advanced search, go to the drop-down menu that is labeled “Location.”  Select the Juvenile Collection to limit your search results to the Juvenile area of the library.
5. From there you can type in a subject, title, language, or author of the book you are trying to find.
6. After entering your search, browse the books that match your requests. To find a book on the shelves in the Juvenile section, go to the number listed on the call number.
