The Harold B. Lee Library Information Commons, commonly referred to as the “No Shhh! Zone”, is a state-of-the-art educational technology facility that integrates a variety of learning services in one location.

The Information Commons provides a space where students collaborate with peers and consult with faculty, teaching assistants or tutors. Multimedia technology is also available to more effectively produce course work and other projects.

Services:

  • Library Information: Get help with general library questions.
  • Research Assistance: Get help using the library’s home page and the many available research resources, including databases. Items available for checkout at the information commons desk include headphones, LCD projector (for group study rooms), memory card reader, 3.5 inch floppy drive, style manuals, phone books, and almanacs.
  • Computer Assistance: Get help with a wide range of computer questions, such as scanning, word processing, wireless access and other general questions.
  • Multimedia Assistance : Help with your video, audio or photo  editing projects.  There is also multimedia equipment (cameras, tripods, etc.) available for checkout.
