For Persuasive Papers the following are great resources to look at to get the Pros and Cons of an argument. To search any of them click on them to go to the database and then type your search terms in the search box. Some places will be better for some topics so you might have to search more than one.
If you have trouble with the links below you can access any of these databases from the library homepage under the find articles menu, click on the first letter of the database’s name under Browse databases by name and then going to that name in the list and clicking on it.
CQ Researcher — Explores “hot” topics at great depth. The Pro/Con sections are particularly helpful for persuasive papers.
Opposing Viewpoints Resource Center — Presents arguments on each side of many topics.
SIRS Researcher – Newspapers and Government Publications cover many topics and give information about both sides of an issue
Gale Virtual Reference Library — Gives access to encyclopedias and handbooks that give general overviews of topics and any controversy.
