Morningstar Library Services Online
Morningstar provides information, data and analysis of stocks, mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, closed-end funds, and variable annuity/life subaccounts. Under Reports and Returns enter the mutual fund symbol click “Go”.
Factiva
Factiva is a global news and business information service that combines the content sets of Dow Jones Interactive and Reuters Business Briefing. Factiva’s research products provide a single point of access to a deep archive of news and business information not available on the free Web, allowing users to conduct in-depth research on companies, industries, regional affairs – or any news. To get information about a mutual fund click on the “Companies/Markets” tab at the top of the screen and then click on the “Quotes” sub-category, use the drop down menu to select ‘Funds’, and then enter the symbol of the fund.
Value Line Research Center
A Financial Investment related database. This database provides independent research and data on companies, and markets to aid investors in making financial decisions. Research is proprietary and comes from Value Line analysts. Graphs and charts on market performance also available. To access the information click on “Mutual Fund Survey” on the left side of the screen, then click on “Look Up Fund”, and then enter the fund’s name or symbol.
Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS)
Wharton Research Data Services (WRDS) is best known for its holdings of historical financial data from CRSP and COMPUSTAT. This data covers over 30,000 companies and includes security prices and trading volume, income and balance sheet items. WRDS also contains stock market indices, bond prices and interest rates, mutual fund and stock ownership information, options data, and a wide array of macroeconomic time series. International data, marketing and industry reports, and web usage data are also available on WRDS.
