Covers more than 11,000 U.S. & international companies and 53 industries.  Click “Business and company Resource Center with PROMT and Investext Plus”, click “Industry”, enter an industry description, and then click on the SIC or NAICS code that best matches industry description.

Value Line Research Center
Comprehensive source of Investment information (stocks, mutual funds, convertibles, etc.) Gives reports on approximately 1,700 stocks, more than 90 industries, the stock market and the economy, pay close attention to the html reports.  Click on “Plus Edition” on the left side of the screen, enter an industry description in the Look Up Industry search box, or click on the “V” for a complete listing of industry profiles.

Standard & Poor’s NetAdvantage is a comprehensive source of business and investment information, offering on-line access to Standard & Poor’s independent research, data and commentary on stocks, bonds, funds, and industries. Stock Reports Company Profiles Bond Guide Corporation Records Mutual Fund Reports Security Dealers of North America Register of Corporations, Directors & Executives Industry Surveys The Outlook.  Click on the “Industries” tab at the top of the sreen, and then from the drop down menu choose the industry you are looking for, or from that same page if you have the ticker symbol or company name in the industry you can use that as well to get an industry report that the company operates in.

Hoover’s Online — Includes company overview, history, products/operations on more than 18,500 public and private U.S. companies and international companies. Covers major industry trends, industry links, and IPO information.  Click on the “Industries” tab at the top of the screen, and then enter the industry name, SIC code, or NAICS code.
