Downloading to Excel from Bloomberg
After some sweat and tears the Library’s Bloomberg terminal, located next to the MEGI Reference Desk on the first floor, is once again able to download data to Excel. For example, if you want a spreadsheet of a stock’s daily high, low, close, and volume for the past five years you can open MS Excel and use the Bloomberg toolbar. The History Wizard will walk you through the process. Compared to the learning curve for Bloomberg itself, this is a breeze.
