18th National Competition

Westminster College – Brigham Young University

Welcome to Salt Lake City and Provo Utah in 2009!

You will find full days of classes and concerts all located on the beautiful and pedestrian
friendly campus of Westminster College. Mark your calendars and save the dates. There will also be a one-day field trip to the International Harp Archives located at Brigham Young University.

AHS 8th Summer Institute – Sunday, June 28 – Thursday, July 2, 2009
To be held on the campus of Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah
Tuesday, June 30 – International Harp Archives field trip to the Brigham Young University is included in the conference registration (optional bus fee $23)

All AHS Summer Institute events are included in the registration fees (see below). Registration forms are available under the tab HOW TO REGISTER  (above).
Additional fees and registration forms are required of competitors in the two different competitions.
All primary registrants and competitors in any of these events must be a member of the American Harp Society.

AHS 18th National Competition – Sunday, June 28 – July 2, 2009
To be held on the campus of Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The first division of the AHS Competition will begin the same day as the opening recital and opening reception.

Lyon & Healy Awards – Friday, June 26 and Saturday, June 27, 2009
To be held on the campus of Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah.
These auditions will be held preceding the opening of the AHS Institute for those students wishing to audition.

Registration fees:
Students: $60 before 4/1, $70 after 4/1/09
Adults : $75 before 4/1, $85 after 4/1/09
Non-harpist family member: $35.00
Bus to International Harp Archives $23.00 per person / round trip
Residential Dorm Facilities are available $37.00 per bed / per night
A list of local hotels will be available in the weeks to come.
