3 Boxes (1.5 linear ftr.)
The Department of French
and Italian at Brigham Young University is one of the largest of its kind in
North America . The department offers a wide range of courses from beginning
language courses to graduate seminars in literature, culture, pedagogy and
linguistics. Thanks to a young and dynamic faculty recognized nationally and
internationally, we are able to provide an exceptional liberal arts training
that sharpens communicative, analytical and interpretive skills that will be
beneficial to students in whatever career they decide to choose in the future.
Besides the pages devoted to our various academic programs, leading to the
Bachelors in French and Italian studies as well as the Masters of Arts in
French studies, we especially invite you to open those describing our Study
Abroad programs, our Language House, our Internship programs, etc. They
illustrate clearly our conviction that language fluency and cultural
understanding can often be better acquired out of the classroom.
This collection consists of one series
which pertains to the Brigham Young University Dept. of French and Italian. It
includes test information, meeting minutes, GPA summaries, class lists, and
correspondence.
