ProvenanceThe contents of this collection were purchased by the L. Tom Perry
Special Collections Library on 7 August 2001 from Charles Apfelbaum, a rare
manuscript collector in New Jersey.

Scope and Content NoteThe contents of this collection include personal correspondence,
fifty-one items in all, of men and women who lived in or had connections in
Utah during the years between 1853 and 1914. The letters have been ordered
chronologically, with the exception of the contents of folder two, which have
been separated according to addressee. The letters in this collection provide
an interesting cross-section of daily life in Utah at the time that they were
written.
