The Teton Dam Disaster Collection is a compilation of newspaper articles, oral histories, accounts received, as well as published materials.
Newspapers
The newspaper articles are copies of the original newspapers that published articles concerning the disaster. Newspapers include the Rexburg Standard Journal, Idaho Falls Post Register, and the Pocatello Idaho State Journal.
Oral History Project
The Teton Oral History Program is a joint oral history program of the History Departments of Utah State University, Ricks College, and the Idaho State Historical Society. W.K. Kellogg Foundation, Idaho State Legislature, Idaho State Historical Society, and the National Endowment of the Humanities funded the Teton Oral History Program. The purpose is to gather and preserve information for historical and scholarly use concerning the Teton Dam Disaster.
Accounts Received
The accounts received are histories voluntarily submitted by members of the community to share their experiences.
Published Materials
Published materials have also been added to the collection including government reports on the failure of the dam.
