The papers of S. Norman Lee, who spent most of his life in Brigham City, have been obtained through the efforts of William L. Knecht and were obtained from Mr. Wallace B. Scholes, Farmington, Utah.

A native of Brigham City, Mr. Lee was born in 1875. He spent most of his life in Brigham City. He served tow missions for the LDS Church, one to England where he was associate editor of the "Millenial Star," 1909-1911; and one to Sweeden, 1896-1898. He served as president of the Box Elder Stake, 1936-1943 and as Stake Patriarch from 1945 until his death. In occupational life, he has been in the insurance, real estate, abstracting, and newspaper businesses. He is a former trustee of Brigham Young College and Weber Stake Academy. He passed away January 6, 1963.
Correspondence with general authorities of the Mormon Church and family members, biographical sketches, patriarchal blessings, financial papers, photographs, speeches, essays, and articles by Lee and others. Many of the items relate to Lee's missionary activities in England and to his calling as a stake president.
